Privatna Predškolska ustanova Trešnjober osnovana je 2001. godine. Jedan smo od prvih akreditovanih vrtića u našoj zemlji. Rasli smo iz moje profesionalne i lične želje da se bavimo prevencijom mnogih psihosomatskih problema, koji su ’90-tih godina, nažalost, počeli sve više da nas okružuju. Želeli smo da deci ponudimo zdravo i vedro okruženje, u kojem će provoditi svoje detinje dane.

At the very beginning, Trešnjober gathered a smaller number of children. Even then, our program was based on enabling children to discover the world around them, as well as themselves in that world; to accept differences; to teach them to learn with ease and, one day, pursue a profession they love and are truly devoted to. However, this was not easy, especially at that point in time. The situation in the environment and society was such that we all, especially children, were exposed to many negative influences. Parents were worried and frightened by economic and other uncertainties. Trešnjober has always built a partnership relationship with parents and the family as a whole. This approach was especially important in those first years, when we, with fewer Trešnjober children, cheerfully and joyfully created our healthy and smiling world. Our wish was to protect children from negative external influences and provide them with new content. We created an environment where little ones could freely but purposefully develop their individual potentials.

With our program and approach to working with children, we distinguished ourselves from other private kindergartens. We did not want to be just a playroom for children and a daycare for parents. We did not emphasize luxurious spaces or toys, but rather the richness of our program and our professional associates. We focused on intensive, yet relaxed and cheerful work with children. We created numerous workshops — School of Good Speech, School of Good Behavior, Trip Around the World, Traditions and Customs, Preschool Program, English and French Language School, Ballet and Karate School, music, art, and drama workshops. With this approach, we earned the trust of children and parents, which is crucial for the further development and progress of every child in our care, as well as our educators and our institution as a whole.

Diligently, responsibly, and thoroughly, we built the foundation for Trešnjober to be a credible partner to families in the upbringing and education of preschool children. We still cherish these foundations today and build large and sustainable plans for the future upon them.
